What is DEADGAY?

DEADGAY is a collaborative blog. It’s maintained by a small group of friends in London, UK, who identify as queer. None of us feel particulalry comfortable with the label gay, and don’t feel part of mainstream gay culture. We have various (and varying) reasons for this. We hope that by writing a blog, we can elucidate these reasons in a straightforward and entertaining way, and we hope that we find others like us, who are too queer to be gay.

We’ll see what happens as we proceed, but for the moment we don’t think it’s important for us to identify ourselves with our real names or with photographs or anything like that. We hope our personalities will emerge here in other ways.

We welcome contact and correspondence from everyone, and especially from those who find themselves excluded, even from the alternative.
